Tomorrow is going to be busy -- last day before vacation starts so we're doing everything we left till the last minute! Flu shots, Rx pickup, drop a check off at the bank, stop by Staples for some envelopes and paper, sweep & mop, and get the taxes out. Today's adventures included a couple of trips to the corner store for things we forgot: trash bags, beans for the chili, measuring cups because the house doesn't have any and more milk because people are making Kahlua-and-cream's.

Nearly a week into the new lifestyle changes and I've already lost 3 pounds. The roomie hasn't weighed himself but we're both feeling more alert and less lethargic. It's one of those anti-inflammatory diets and it makes a lot of sense when you look at the science behind it. Very similar to paleo.

This being a new thing for me, it continues to be interesting. Now I see why the surgeon insisted that I take three days off to recuperate instead of two. I look like a chipmunk who's been at the sunflower seeds, and a lovely set of bruises has begun developing along the jawline. I'm off at Oh-God-Hundred to take my car in for a long-awaited tune-up. I've been putting it off due to all the bills from Mum's estate over the past few years. Now that the house is off my shoulders, I'm taking care of lots of things that have been put off!
